Yes, it’s a big orange Porsche model, but I don’t even like Technic sets that much.
A realization I came to when I woke up this morning.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I can buy it right now if I wanted to, but I really don’t.

Me either. I’d probably buy it if it was a Trans Am of some sort, but I prefer the regular block cars.

Some of the Technic and Creator sets seem like they might as well be one piece: Orange Porsche. The instructional pictogram just shows a guy getting it out, putting it on the table, and staring at it. 3 steps. Build me a 1/4-scale 911 out of bricks and we'll talk .

AGREE WITH MY OPINION IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE INTERNET WHERE MY OPINION IS LOUD AND MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE OPINIONS OF OTHERS.
I’m going to go buy bionicles now.

Then don’t get it? it’s pretty cool in person, but I would way rather spend that money one the star wars sets.

Reposting a comment I made earlier this month :
I don’t get the hype.
I don’t think it’s a bad value for a LEGO kit, not one with 2700+ pieces. And it’s great to support LEGO making kits of real cars. But holy cow, does this thing look pretty miserable.
What the heck is going on with the hood line? And the area under the headlights? It looks like it was in a crash!
Compare that to the VW T1, Mini, and F40. They’re all great looking kits:
I get that this Porsche is a Technic model, and the others above aren’t. It’s
supposed
to look a bit more mechanical. But for comparison, here’s
a homebuilt Technic model
of the VW. Looks pretty decent to me. Why does this one have to look so cobbled together?
I think I remember seeing that the only “custom” pieces on the Mini were the bits that go on the trunk. And that kit is only a third of the price! Surely they could make a better looking Porsche than this, Technic or not. For $300+, I think they could.

Agreed, the new Beetle creator set has me way more excited and it's a third of the price

I think the Mini kit is excellent! I was browsing the lego online shop the other day and this is the one I really want.

It's wonderful! Of course, I'm a bit biased ;)
